Community Reentry Program

Gookomis Endaad has developed a partnership with the Vilas County Jail to provide a comprehensive program for those who would like seek treatment for their addiction to opioids and/or alcohol.  The program offers Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) with at least 90 days of in-patient treatment at Gookomis Endaad and upon successful completion, at least another 90 days of intensive out-patient therapy with the opportunity to stay at Ombedam Endaad, our peer-supported transitional housing to support on-going sobriety.  

Criteria for Participation:

  • At least 18 years old

  • Meets Physical Requirements

    • Does not have active liver disease​

    • Does not have moderate to severe renal impairment

    • Does not have hypersensitivity to Naltrexone

    • Did not fail the Naloxone test previously

  • Meets ASAM criteria for in-patient treatment 

  • Diagnosed with an opioid and/or alcohol dependency within the past 5 years

  • Is not, nor plans to become pregnant while in the program

  • Is referred by the Vilas County Jail Administration
